Chelsea have emerged as serious contenders to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid this summer, say reports
Chelsea have emerged as serious contenders to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid ahead of Manchester United this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Express is reporting that the Blues have entered the race to sign the 28-year-old winger from Real Madrid as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his attacking options at Stamford Bridge.
Bale’s future at Real Madrid has been a source of speculation in recent days mid claims that the Spanish club could be ready to cash in on the Wales international in order to help fund a move for Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe.
The same article claims that Real Madrid would be open to selling Bale for a fee of around £90m this summer as the Spanish side consider cashing in on the attacker.
The story also says that Manchester United have a long-standing interest in signing Bale but Chelsea have also been keeping tabs on his situation at Real Madrid.
The article states that Chelsea have the financial power needed to lure Bale away from Real Madrid should the Spanish club indeed be open to selling him this summer.
Chelsea have signed Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata so far this summer.
