Chelsea losing hope of making 26-year-old Brazilian their fifth summer signing – report
Chelsea's hopes of signing Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer are fading, according to reports
Chelsea’s hopes of signing Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer are fading away, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Blues are going to find it increasingly difficult to be able to lure Sandro away from the Turin club this summer as Antonio Conte searches for further defensive reinforcements.
The same report states that Chelsea are very keen to bring in reinforcements who can play at wing-back as Conte gears up for his second season in charge at Stamford Bridge.
The story says Chelsea were keen on signing Kyle Walker, Danilo and Benjamin Mendy, but all three ended up signing for Manchester City this summer.
Now, the article is also reporting that Chelsea’s hopes of signing the 26-year-old Sandro from Juventus are looking increasingly slim, despite the Blues having been heavily linked with a move to land the Brazilian for much of the summer.
The report comes after Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri ruled out the possibility of the Italian champions letting Sandro leave the club this summer.
Chelsea are currently preparing for their Premier League opener against Burnley this weekend as they look to get their campaign off to a winning start in front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge.
