Manager’s two-word reply when asked if 26-year-old is signing for Chelsea
Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri pours cold water on Chelsea's hopes of signing Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer
Chelsea have had their hopes of signing Alex Sandro dashed after Juventus ruled out selling the Brazilian full-back this summer.
The Blues have been heavily linked with a move to bring Sandro to Stamford Bridge this summer as Antonio Conte looks to bolster his defence ahead of his second campaign in charge at the club.
However, there has not yet been any deal agreed and it would seem that the Blues are struggling to convince Juventus to part company with the 26-year-old.
Now, the west London side appear to have suffered a fresh blow to their hopes of signing Sandro after manager Massimiliano Allegri said that the player would not be sold this summer.
“Alex Sandro is a Juventus player and he will stay one,” Allegri said, according to the Daily Mail.
Then, asked about the likelihood of Sandro leaving for Chelsea, he added: “No chance.”
Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for further reinforcements this summer despite the Blues having already signed four new players.
The west London side have completed deals for Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata as Conte prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.
Chelsea won the Premier League title by claiming a record 30 victories last term.
