Tiemoue Bakayoko trained at Cobham on Friday ahead of Chelsea's crunch Premier League clash with Tottenham on Sunday
Tiemoue Bakayoko looked to be in good shape as he took part in full first-team training on Friday ahead of Chelsea’s crunch clash against Tottenham on Sunday.
The midfielder signed for Chelsea from Monaco last month as Antonio Conte looked to bolster his options at Stamford Bridge ahead of his second season in charge at the club.
Bakayoko missed Chelsea’s first game of the season due to a minor knee injury but he has been joining in with full training at Cobham in recent days.
Conte said on Friday at his weekly news briefing that Bakayoko could be in contention to feature for the Blues in their trip to Wembley to take on Spurs, although the manager conceded that he is not at his peak fitness level yet.
And Chelsea fans will be excited by the pictures of Bakayoko in training this week ahead of his first appearance in a Blues shirt.
Chelsea head into their game with Tottenham desperately looking to return to winning ways after their disastrous 3-2 loss to Burnley on the opening day of the season.
The Blues will be without both Cesc Fabregas and Gary Cahill after the pair were both sent off during that defeat.
