Chelsea want to sign at least four more players this summer – report
Chelsea want to sign at least another four players before the close of the transfer window at the end of the month, say reports
Chelsea are looking to sign at least four more players in the summer transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Evening Standard is reporting that the west London club are on the lookout for a number of additional reinforcements before the close of the transfer window, despite the Blues having already brought in four new players this summer.
The same report states that Leicester City midfielder Danny Drinkwater remains as one of their top transfer targets this summer as Conte prepares his team for the new season.
The story explains that Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia has stepped up the club’s pursuit of their remaining targets as the west London side look to further bolster their squad before the end of the month.
The article says that Drinkwater is near the top of Conte’s transfer wish-list this summer as the Blues look to bring in midfield reinforcements following the sale of Nemanja Matic to Manchester United last week.
As well as a midfielder, Conte is looking for at least one wing-back, an attacking midfielder and another forward, according to the story in the London-based newspaper.
Chelsea are currently preparing to begin their Premier League title defence with a home clash against Burnley on Saturday afternoon.
