Chelsea on brink of signing top 24-year-old midfielder – report
Chelsea are on the brink of signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal, according to reports

Chelsea are on the brink of signing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal before Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to reports in the British media.
BBC Sport is reporting that the Blues are close to wrapping up a deal to sign the England international from the Gunners before the transfer window drops shut on Thursday night.
The same report claims that Chelsea have already agreed a transfer fee with Arsenal to sign the 24-year-old, who has one year left on his current contract at The Emirates.
The story also says that Liverpool have shown an interest in Oxlade-Chamberlain and that the Reds could make a late bid to sign him from Arsenal.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has started all three of Arsenal’s Premier League games so far this season, including the humiliating 4-0 loss to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
Chelsea have been linked with a whole host of players throughout the summer transfer window so far, but have only concluded deals for four new recruits.
The Blues have signed Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata ahead of Antonio Conte’s second season in charge.
However, it is believed that Conte is keen on some more reinforcements as he prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next month.
