Chelsea consider ‘last-ditch’ bid to sign 26-year-old Brazilian – report
Chelsea could still make a late bid to try and sign Alex Sandro from Juventus, according to reports
Chelsea could still make a new late attempt to try and sign Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Blues are considering making a final “last-ditch” move to try and bring the 26-year-old Brazilian to Stamford Bridge before the close of the transfer window at the end of the month.
Sandro will be a name familiar to Chelsea fans, with the defender having been heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge throughout the summer.
However, Chelsea have so far been unsuccessful in being able to lure the full-back to west London, and as the transfer deadline approaches, a move is looking more and more unlikely.
But the Daily Telegraph is claiming that Chelsea could be set to make one last attempt to try and bring the defender to west London.
Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for defensive reinforcements this summer, despite having already brought in Antonio Rudiger as one of their four signings so far.
The Blues picked up their first Premier League points of the season on Sunday when they secured a 2-1 win over Tottenham at Wembley.
