Antonio Conte doesn’t fully trust Chelsea attacker, he’s worried he could be sold – report
Willian is reportedly worried that he could be facing the axe under Antonio Conte at Chelsea
Willian is “fearful” that he could be set for the axe at Chelsea under Antonio Conte, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is claiming that the Brazilian is worried that he could be the next player to be shown the exit door at Stamford Bridge after Diego Costa.
The same story says that Conte does not “entirely trust” the 29-year-old attacker and that his future at Stamford Bridge could indeed be in doubt.
Willian was in and out of the Chelsea team last season but he played the full 90 minutes and notched up an assist in the Blues’ Premier League defeat by Burnley last weekend.
It remains to be seen whether Willian could be on his way out of Chelsea, but the Brazilian attacker was one of the west London side’s only solid performers during their disastrous campaign in the 2015-16 season, when they ended up 10th in the Premier League.
Willian will be hoping to feature from the start when Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur in their next Premier League game at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues are gearing up for a return to the Champions League next month after their Premier League title triumph last term.
