Chelsea and Tottenham are both interested in signing Ross Barkley from Everton this summer, according go Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports News reporter is claiming that both the Blues and the Lilywhites are keen to bring Barkley to London this summer as the speculation about the Everton midfielder’s future continues.
Chelsea are believed to be on the lookout for midfield reinforcements this summer after the Blues sold Nemanja Matic to Manchester United on Monday in a £40m deal.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are the only Premier League club not to have made any new signings so far this summer and are thought to be keeping tabs on Barkley.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Tuesday evening, Sheth said: “As for departures at Goodison Park, still no offer for the midfielder Ross Barkley, though we understand that Chelsea and Tottenham are both interested [in signing him].”
Chelsea are currently gearing up for their Community Shield clash against Arsenal at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
The Blues have signed four players so far this summer after having completed deals for Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata.
