Chelsea want to sign 23-year-old star striker before deadline day – report
Chelsea want to sign Andrea Belotti from Torino this summer, according to reports
Chelsea want to sign Andrea Belotti this summer amid the ongoing saga surrounding Diego Costa’s future at the club, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Star is claiming that Antonio Conte is still keen on bringing the 23-year-old Italy international to Stamford Bridge this summer as he looks to further bolster his squad before the transfer deadline.
Costa’s situation has dominated the headlines for much of the summer, with the Spain international currently refusing to return to Chelsea after having allegedly been told that he is surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge by Conte.
Now, the Daily Star is reporting that Conte is keen to add Italy star Belotti to his strikeforce, with Costa’s future remaining up in the air.
However, the same story says that his current side Torino are holding out for a fee close to £80m for the striker.
Chelsea endured a disastrous start to the new season last weekend when they were reduced to nine men and lost 3-2 to Burnley in front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge.
The west London side will now look to return to winning ways when they take on Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Sunday.
