Chelsea more likely than Man United to sign proven 27-year-old – report
Chelsea are more likely to bid for Danny Rose than Manchester United this summer, say reports
Chelsea are more likely than Manchester United to make a bid to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the Blues could make an offer for the 27-year-old full-back before the close of the transfer window at the end of the month.
Both Manchester United and Chelsea have been credited with an interest in signing Rose this summer after the England international’s controversial interview last week, in which he hit out at Tottenham for failing to sign quality players and hinted he would be open to a move away from White Hart Lane.
Now, the Sun is reporting that Chelsea are the more likely club to make a bid for Rose this summer as Antonio Conte looks to strengthen his defensive options ahead of his second campaign in charge.
The same report states that Rose would favour a transfer to Manchester United or Manchester City but would be open to a move to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are preparing to kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
