Chelsea have 25% chance of signing 30-year-old Italian, claims insider

Chelsea have a 25 per cent chance of completing a deal to sign Inter Milan winger Antonio Candreva, according to ESPN reporter David Amoyal.
The Premier League champions have been linked with a swoop to sign the 30-year-old in the summer transfer window to improve their squad options.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is familiar with Candreva having worked with the experienced midfielder during his two-year stint in charge of the Italian national team.
The Azzurri midfielder scored six goals and made 10 assists in 38 appearances in Serie A last term during his first season at Inter Milan following a move from Lazio last summer.
Chelsea have already signed four players in the summer transfer window but Conte is eager to add more depth to his squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.
ESPN reporter Amoyal played down the chances of the Premier League holders signing Candreva from the Serie A giants.
“Joao Cancelo joining Inter Milan impacts this potential transfer in two ways: Chelsea have one less option for the right wing-back position, and Inter may consider sacrificing the former Lazio winger to raise funds to bolster another position,” Amoyal wrote in his ESPN FC column.
“But odds are that Inter will employ Joao Cancelo at right-back and keep Candreva in their offensive trident, especially since their depth will be impacted by Stevan Jovetic and Gabigol’s expected departures.”
Chelsea have brought in Manchester City goalkeeper Willy Caballero, AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata and Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer.
The Blues lost 3-2 to Burnley in their season opener at Stamford Bridge before a 2-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley last weekend.
