Chelsea are ready to rival Manchester United to sign PSG defender Serge Aurier this summer, according to reports
Chelsea have made an enquiry about Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier, according to reports in France.
French outlet Le10Sport is reporting that the Premier League champions have made an approach to sign the Ivory Coast international to improve their full-back options.
The same article states that Chelsea are ready to challenge Manchester United for the signature of the African defender in the summer transfer window.
According to the French media outlet, 24-year-old Aurier would cost potential suitors around £27m in the market at the moment.
Chelsea have been active this summer so far after making four new additions to their squad ahead of a return to the Champions League next term.
The Blues have signed Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero, AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
Antonio Conte won the Premier League title in his first season in charge at Stamford Bridge following his appointment last summer.
