Chelsea are closing in on deals to add “two or three” new summer signings, according to reports in England.

The Evening Standard is reporting that the Premier League champions are still working on deals to complete summer signings to strengthen Antonio Conte’s squad.

The same article states that Chelsea are aiming to make four additions before the close of the summer transfer window and two or three of those potential deals are nearing a conclusion.

Chelsea made a slow start to the current transfer market after Manchester United beat the Premier League champions to the signing of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.

However, the west London side have since brought in four new faces to shake up Conte’s squad ahead of the new season.

The Blues signed Manchester City reserve goalkeeper Willy Caballero, AS Roma defender Antonio Rudiger, AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko and Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.

Chelsea won the Premier League title in their first season under Conte but lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley.

The Blues will start their season with a clash against the Gunners again in the Community Shield next weekend.
