The Reds signed the 19-year-old striker in a transfer from reigning Premier League champions Chelsea.
Solanke agreed to a move to Liverpool before winning the Under-20 World Cup title with England in June.
The teenager won the tournament’s golden ball to follow in the footsteps of Barcelona forward Lionel Messi and Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
Solanke has already scored two goals in pre-season for his new club to make an impression at Anfield ahead of the 2017-18 Premier League season.
Birmingham City manager Redknapp believes Solanke will improve the Liverpool team following his summer move from the English champions.
“I like the fact they have got Dominic Solanke in for a tribunal fee from Chelsea,” Redknapp is quoted as saying by Daily Express.
“He’s a real prospect, and at 6ft 1in, a big boy so, while Mo Salah is serious money and is very decent, the youngster can offer a lot.”
Solanke made three appearances in the Chelsea team during his stay at Stamford Bridge.
The teenager was sent out on loan to Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem last season where he netted seven times in 25 games.
Liverpool spent £39m on former Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah to secure his signature from Serie A giants AS Roma.
The 18-time English champions have also snapped up Hull City defender Andy Robertson to strengthen his left-back position.
