Jose Mourinho wants to make signing a winger Manchester United’s next transfer priority this summer, according to reports in the British media.

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Mourinho is desperate to add another attacking player to his squad as he prepares for his second season in charge at Old Trafford.

The same story claims that Manchester United would “much rather” sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid than make a move to land Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.

The article also says that the Red Devils have so far failed to match Inter Milan’s asking price of £49m for Perisic as Mourinho looks to further bolster his options at Old Trafford.,

The story says Manchester United are still keen on signing Bale from Real Madrid, but that move is likely to be influenced by the Spanish side’s pursuit of Kylian Mbappe from Monaco.

Manchester United are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after Mourinho led the Red Devils to Europa League glory in his first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese coach was brought in as Louis van Gaal’s permanent successor in May 2016.
