Arsenal and Liverpool keeping tabs on 26-year-old before deadline – report
Both Arsenal and Liverpool are monitoring Lucas Vazquez's situation at Real Madrid, according to reports
Arsenal and Liverpool are both keeping tabs on Lucas Vazquez with a view to a summer transfer move for the Real Madrid attacker, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish outlet Don Balon, as quoted by the Daily Star, is reporting that both of the Premier League clubs are considering moves for the 26-year-old, who has struggled for regular playing time at The Bernabeu.
The same report claims that both Liverpool and Arsenal are pondering moves for the Spain international ahead of next Thursday’s transfer deadline.
The story also says that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is a huge admirer of the attacker and would “love” to bring the winger to Anfield.
Arsenal, meanwhile, are said to be interested in signing Vazquez as a possible replacement for Alexis Sanchez, should the Chile international leave the club this summer.
It is claimed that both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain are eyeing moves for Sanchez before the transfer deadline at the end of the month.
Liverpool have signed three players so far, having tied up deals for Mohamed Salah, Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson.
Arsenal, meanwhile, have only brought in Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette so far in the current transfer window.
