Insider delivers latest on top 21-year-old’s link to both Arsenal and Liverpool
Both Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs keen on signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer, say reports
Both Arsenal and Liverpool are among the clubs keen on signing Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer as the race for his signature hots up, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports News reporter has taken to Twitter to claim that a host of clubs are now courting the 21-year-old attacker as his future at Monaco remains under the spotlight.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move to sign Lemar for most of the summer and have been reported to have had at least two bids for the midfielder turned down by the French club.
Now, however, Solhekhol is quoting reports in France as claiming that Liverpool, Manchester City and Barcelona could all be set to provide competition for his signature this summer.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Race for Thomas Lemar hotting up. According to L’Equipe, Barcelona want him now – as well as Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City.”
Arsenal have only signed two players so far this summer as Arsene Wenger prepares his team for the 2017-18 campaign. The Gunners have brought in Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette.
Liverpool have made three new recruits thus far, having tied up deals for Mohamed Salah, Andy Robertson and Dominic Solanke as Jurgen Klopp prepares for his second full campaign in charge at the Anfield club.
