Philippe Coutinho is considering making a public statement voicing his discontent with his situation at Liverpool, according to reports in the media.

Yahoo! Sport is claiming that the 25-year-old playmaker is pondering whether to make a statement about his future as he continues to be linked with a transfer to Barcelona.

The same report says that Coutinho is now preparing to talk to the media and get his views across as he looks to try and seal a move to Barcelona.

The story claims that the player will consider this approach if Barcelona fail with a fourth bid for Coutinho, as is expected.

The midfielder’s future has been a relentless source of speculation this summer, with Barcelona thought to be keen on luring him to Camp Nou before the transfer window closes next Thursday.

Coutinho has already been widely reported to have handed in a transfer request in a bid to try and force through a move to Barcelona this summer.

Liverpool managed to beat Hoffenheim 4-2 and secure their place in the group stage of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Reds now turn their attentions towards their crunch Premier League clash against Arsenal at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
