The Brazilian playmaker’s future has been a relentless source of speculation in recent days after the reports linking Barcelona with a big-money bid for the midfielder.
Matters got even more complicated on Friday when the 25-year-old was reported to have handed in a transfer request, asking for a move away from Anfield.
Coutinho sat out Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Watford in the Premier League on Saturday due to injury.
However, Klopp was far from reassuring when asked about Coutinho’s future following the thrilling Premier League encounter at Vicarage Road.
“I cannot say a lot about it,” Klopp told Sky Sports.
“I am responsible for the whole team, all these players, and I need to focus on the players who are available. I have no influence on the players who aren’t available.
“I have to accept decisions from owners, that’s how it is, and sometimes from players, but for this moment I just have to concentrate on my team.”
Coutinho has developed into one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents since his move to Liverpool from Inter Milan back in January 2013.
It remains to be seen if there will be further developments on Coutinho’s future before Liverpool take on Hoffenheim in the first leg of their Champions League play-off round clash on Tuesday night.
