Reported Liverpool and Tottenham target asks to leave his club – report
Geoffrey Kondogbia has asked to leave Inter Milan this summer amid suggested interest from Liverpool and Tottenham, say reports
Geoffrey Kondogbia has asked to leave Inter Milan, putting the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham on alert, according to reports in Italy.
Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, as quoted by talkSPORT, is claiming that the 26-year-old defender has requested to leave the Serie A side because he wants a change of scenery.
The same story says that the news of his reported desire to quit Inter is likely to interest both Liverpool and Spurs, who have been linked with moves to sign Kondogbia in the past.
The article also suggests that England looks likely to be Kondogbia’s destination and that the most “interesting” offers for his signature will come from the Premier League.
The Frenchman has been at Inter since signing for the Italian club back in the summer of 2015 from Monaco.
Liverpool are believed to be on the lookout for further reinforcements this summer as Jurgen Klopp prepares for his second full season in charge at the club.
The Reds have so far signed Dominic Solanke, Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson as they prepare for the 2017-18 campaign.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are currently the only Premier League club not to have made a single signing this summer.
