Liverpool set to miss out on 20-year-old Turkish attacker – report
Turkish midfielder Emre Mor is closing in on a move to Inter Milan ahead of Liverpool this summer, according to reports in Italy
Emre Mor is set to move to Inter Milan this summer despite long-term interest from Liverpool, according to reports in Italy.
Website Calciomercato is reporting that the 20-year-old playmaker has settled on a move to the San Siro outfit in spite of the lure of a move to Anfield.
The same article claims that Mor’s agent Mustafa Ozcan spoke directly to Inter Milan’s sporting director Piero Ausilio about a summer switch to Inter Milan from Borussia Dortmund.
However, there could be hope for Liverpool as the story reveals that Inter Milan haven’t met Borussia Dortmund’s €25m for the attacking midfielder.
Indeed, the Serie A giants are thought to be prepared to offer €14m for the Turkish starlet, which falls well short of the Bundesliga outfit’s asking price.
Former Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is currently in charge of Liverpool and the charismatic head coach has been regularly linked with a raid on his former club.
The ex-Denmark youth international moved to Westfalenstadion after Klopp was appointed as Brendan Rodgers’ successor at the 18-time English champions.
Mor scored one goal in 14 appearances in all competitions during his first season at Dortmund as he found his first-team opportunities limited at the Bundesliga giants.
