Jurgen Klopp doesn’t want Liverpool to sign top 23-year-old attacker – report
The Liverpool boss isn't interested in signing Germany forward Julian Draxler from PSG this summer, according to reports
Liverpool aren’t interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Julian Draxler, according to reports in England.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that PSG are open to offers for the Germany international in the summer transfer window following the arrival of Neymar in a £198m world-record deal.
The same article states that Liverpool were interested in signing the 23-year-old attacker last season and Klopp even held talks with the German forward before his big-money move to PSG.
But according to the same story, the German coach is no longer looking to sign a left-sided attacker despite his previous interest in the ex Wolfsburg forward.
Indeed, the Liverpool manager is said to be happy with his current options in the position as Klopp looks to sign a centre-half before the close of the summer transfer window.
Draxler moved to PSG ahead of interest from Liverpool in the January transfer window but missed out on the Ligue 1 title in his first season.
Liverpool have signed AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solanke and Hull City defender Andy Robertson in the summer transfer window so far.
The Reds were 1-0 winners against Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon following a 3-3 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road in their season opener.
