Liverpool frontrunners to sign exciting 24-year-old attacker in £74m deal – report
Liverpool are now favourites to sign Thomas Lemar in a £74m deal from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco this summer, according to reports

Liverpool are leading the race to sign France international Thomas Lemar from AS Monaco, according to reports in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Reds are plotting a club-record £74m deal to sign the 21-year-old attacker from the Ligue 1 champions.
Lemar has been attracting interest from north London duo Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, the same article reveals.
However, the Monaco forward is now more likely to move to Liverpool than move to the English capital as Jurgen Klopp looks to complete his fourth summer signing.
The French champions have maintained their reluctance to sell Lemar after losing big-name players such as Benjamin Mendy, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Bernardo Silva already this summer.
Lemar scored eight goals and made seven assists in 34 appearances in Ligue 1 last season to help Monaco to finish above Paris Saint-Germain.
The France international netted twice and created four goals for his team-mates as Monaco reached the Champions League semi-finals in the 2016-17 season.
Liverpool finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a return to Europe’s premier club competition after a two-season absence.
The Reds have signed AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solanke and Hull City defender Andy Robertson.
