Matt Le Tissier sends direct message to Liverpool fans about Virgil van Dijk situation
The Southampton legend sends a message to Liverpool fans about Virgil van Dijk's future

Matt Le Tissier has sent a cheeky message to Liverpool fans amid reports Southampton are set to keep Virgil van Dijk this summer.
The Netherlands international has been heavily linked with a move to the Merseyside outfit in the summer transfer window so far.
Van Dijk was thought to be on the brink of a £60m move to Liverpool back in June as Jurgen Klopp looked to indentify a clear weakness in his team.
However, Liverpool were forced to issue a statement apologising to Southampton about the alleged illegal pursuit of the 26-year-old.
The Reds officially pulled out of the race to sign Van Dijk amid talk of interest from their title rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.
However, Liverpool have continued to be linked with a move to sign the Southampton captain in recent weeks.
Van Dijk handed in a training request earlier this month and has been training away from the rest of the Saints squad.
Sky Sports reported on Thursday evening that Southampton were set to keep Van Dijk despite Liverpool’s interest in the centre-half.
Southampton legend Le Tissier couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at Liverpool fans who have been bombarding the former Saints number seven throughout the summer.
Le Tissier wrote on his Twitter page: “I’m noticing a distinct change of tone in Lfc fans tweets as the deadline approaches and reality dawns 😉”
