Man United ditch plans to sign 27-year-old from rivals – report
Manchester United are no longer interested in signing Danny Rose from Tottenham this summer, say reports
Manchester United have shelved plans to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Star is reporting that the Red Devils have switched off their interest in signing the 27-year-old full-back for the time being.
The same report states that the England defender was extremely keen on a transfer to Manchester United this summer but the Red Devils are now no longer pursuing a deal.
Rose’s future has been a source of debate after he publicly spoke out against Tottenham earlier this month by questioning the north London club’s ambition.
However, it appears that the England international will definitely not be ending up at Old Trafford this summer as the speculation about his future continues.
The same report says that Chelsea are also interested in signing Rose this summer but the player himself is said to have “no interest” in joining the champions from Spurs.
Tottenham take on the west London side at Wembley in the Premier League on Sunday as they look to win their first top flight game of the season at the national stadium.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are aiming to bounce back from the disappointment of their 3-2 loss to Burnley last weekend.
