Mark Lawrenson is backing Manchester United to ease to a 3-1 win against Leicester City on Saturday evening.

The Red Devils are sitting at the top of the Premier League table thanks to successive top-flight victories to start the 2017-18 campaign in style.

Manchester United were 4-0 winners against West Ham in their opening Premier League game thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.

The Red Devils trio were all on the score sheet again last weekend as Manchester United eased to a 4-0 victory over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.

Leicester City recorded their first Premier League win of the new campaign last Saturday after a comfortable 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Foxes played out a thrilling 4-3 victory over Arsenal at The Emirates in the Premier League opener earlier this month.

Former Liverpool defender Lawrenson predicted the scoreline in his BBC Sport column: “3-1.”

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season despite the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Louis van Gaal’s replacement.

The Red Devils have signed Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic so far this summer.
