Jose Mourinho singled out Anthony Martial for special praise after Manchester United’s thumping 4-0 win over Swansea City kept them at the top of the Premier League table.

The Red Devils secured another convincing victory as Martial came off the bench to score his second goal in as many games.

Eric Bailly opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time, before goals from Martial, Paul Pogba and Romelu Lukaku wrapped up the three points for the Red Devils.

And Mourinho opted to single out Martial for special praise after the game, despite the Frenchman having only come on as a substitute in the Red Devils’ last two outings.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Mourinho said: “Anthony Martial is working hard. He is confident.

“The French language connection is there to help him a lot and get to the level we know he can be because the potential is huge.”

Manchester United’s win kept them top of the Premier League table as they look to challenge for the Premier League title this season.

The Red Devils finished in a disappointing sixth place last term and they are now getting ready to host Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
