Man United linked with Barcelona midfielder, Mourinho has met him many times – report
Manchester United are being linked with a possible summer swoop to sign Arda Turan from Barcelona by reports in Spain
Manchester United are considering the possibility of trying to sign Arda Turan from Barcelona this summer, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper AS is claiming that Turan is set to leave Camp Nou this summer and that Manchester United are among the clubs who could tie up a deal for the 30-year-old midfielder.
The same report says that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has met with Turan “on many occasions” and that a potential deal could be helped by agent Ahmet Bulut having worked closely with Jorge Mendes in the past.
The story, however, says that Galatasaray are also looking to sign the midfielder this summer after he was not selected in the Barcelona squad to face Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup this week.
Manchester United are believed to be on the lookout for a fourth signing this summer after having brought in Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic so far.
The Red Devils made a strong start to the Premier League season on Sunday when they thrashed West Ham United 4-0 at Old Trafford, with new signing Lukaku scoring twice and winning the man of the match award.
Manchester United take on Swansea City in the early kick-off at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.
