Tony Gale predicts where Man United, Chelsea will finish
Tony Gale is tipping Manchester City or Manchester United to win the Premier League title this season
Tony Gale believes Manchester United or Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season, with Chelsea and Tottenham close behind.
The Red Devils made a strong start to the new Premier League season on Sunday when they thrashed West Ham United 4-0 at Old Trafford to get their campaign off to a flyer.
Manchester City also started in winning ways with a comfortable 2-0 victory at Brighton, but Chelsea endured an opening weekend to forget as they were beaten 3-2 by Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United are aiming to win the Premier League title for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement back in 2013.
And Gale feels that the Red Devils are among the favourites for the top-flight crown in Jose Mourinho’s second season at the club.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Wednesday morning, Gale said: “I think Manchester City and Manchester United top two, definitely.
“Chelsea and Spurs after that so the northern swing has come in and the London swing has come out.
“For me, if you look at it like that, Liverpool and Arsenal have not got enough as what the other sides have got at the moment.”
Manchester United, who finished sixth but won the Europa League and EFL Cup last term, are currently preparing for their next Premier League game – a trip to Swansea City to on Saturday lunchtime.
Last season’s champions Chelsea, meanwhile, are aiming to return to winning ways when they take on Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday afternoon.
