Manchester United are set to make a fresh bid to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan this week, according to reports in the British media.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that the Red Devils are keen to make a new bid for the 28-year-old Croatia international, who has been heavily linked with a switch to Old Trafford all summer.
Manchester United have signed three players so far this summer after tying up deals for Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.
However, the same story claims that the Red Devils are still out to make at least one more signing before transfer deadline day, and Perisic could be that addition.
The article claims that Inter Milan had initially demanded that Manchester United include Anthony Martial as part of the deal for Perisic – but the Red Devils have no intention of selling the France international.
Manchester United are currently gearing up for their Premier League opener against West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon as they look to improve on their disappointing sixth-placed finish last term.
The Red Devils were beaten 2-1 by Real Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup on Tuesday night as they missed their first chance to win a trophy this season.
