Jose Mourinho has challenged Manchester United to win both the Premier League and FA Cup this season, according to reports.

The Sun is claiming that Mourinho has delivered a rousing speech to his players, in which he told them he wants to see the Red Devils win both trophies – and reach at least the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Europa League winners have made a blistering start to the new campaign after having secured impressive back to back 4-0 victories over West Ham and Swansea City in their first two games of the season.

Those results have left Manchester United flying high at the top of the Premier League table as Mourinho looks to try and steer the Red Devils to the top flight title for the first time since 2013.

Manchester United are currently preparing to take on Leicester City at Old Trafford on Saturday and the Red Devils will be confident of bettering their sixth-placed finish in the top flight last term.

The Red Devils have signed three players so far this summer as Mourinho bolstered his squad, wrapping up deals for Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.

Manchester United won both the EFL Cup and Europa League in Mourinho’s first season last term.
