Jose Mourinho’s next Man United transfer priority revealed – report
Manchester United want to sign a new left-back this summer and Danny Rose is one of the options, say reports
Jose Mourinho has prioritised signing a new left-back this summer as Manchester United’s next priority in the transfer window, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Record is claiming that the Portuguese coach wants to bring in a new full-back in that position who would be capable of challenging Manchester United’s current players for a spot in the starting line-up.
The same story says that Tottenham defender Danny Rose is “just one” of the options being considered by the Portuguese coach.
The article claims that Manchester United could even offer current left-back Luke Shaw, 22, as part of the deal to try and bring Rose to Old Trafford this summer.
Rose has been touted as a target for both Manchester United and Chelsea in recent days after he gave a frank interview to the Sun, in which he suggested that he would be open to a move away from Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United have signed three players so far this summer after having tied up deals for Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic so far.
The Red Devils kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
