Gary Neville believes Manchester United have the tactical flexibility to win the Premier League title this season.

The Red Devils have made an impressive start to the 2017-18 campaign following successive 4-0 victories over West Ham United and Swansea City.

Manchester United hoisted themselves to the top of the Premier League table thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly.

The 20-time English champions haven’t won the Premier League title since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson secured his final top-flight crown.

Manchester United have an opportunity to build a commanding lead at the top of the Premier League table before facing their first top-six team in October.

Former Red Devils defender Neville believes Jose Mourinho has a team that is capable of winning in different ways throughout the title race.

“Man United look like a team that can keep possession and win a game,” Neville told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports.

“Man United look like a team that can defend deep, be resilient and keep a clean sheet to win the game.

“Man United look like a team that can counter-attack and win the game.

“I always think that a team that wins the league is a team that can win games in different styles and different ways with a strong spine.

“Man United make up of their team and squad looks like they can handle a title challenge.”

Manchester United eased to a 4-0 win against West Ham United in their opening Premier League fixture thanks to Lukaku’s double before goals from Martial and Pogba.

The Red Devils have signed Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and Everton forward Lukaku.

Mourinho’s side won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in the Portuguese coach’s first season in charge at Old Trafford.
