Mourinho still wants top 28-year-old to sign for Man United this summer – report
Jose Mourinho remains intent on signing Ivan Perisic for Manchester United this summer, according to reports
Jose Mourinho has not given up hope of bringing Ivan Perisic to Manchester United from Inter Milan this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Guardian is claiming that the Portugese coach has still singled out Perisic as the man he wants to strengthen his attack this season ahead of his second campaign in charge at the club.
Manchester United have been relentlessly linked with a move for the 28-year-old Croatia international for much of the summer but the Red Devils have so far been unable to get a deal over the line.
However, the report states that Mourinho remains determined to try and lure Perisic to Old Trafford this summer as he looks for his team to mount a Premier League title challenge next season.
Manchester United have only signed three players so far this summer as the Red Devils prepare for the Portuguese coach’s second campaign at the club.
The Red Devils have brought in Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic as Mourinho looks to guide his team to the Premier League title for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
Manchester United are set to take on Real Madrid in the Uefa Super Cup on Tuesday night.
