Insider delivers latest update on Man United’s bid to sign 28-year-old attacker
Manchester United are still interested in signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan this summer, say reports
Manchester United are still interested in signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan but the player is determined to stay in Italy, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Red Devils have been relentlessly linked with a move to land the 28-year-old Croatia international throughout the summer but the Premier League outfit have seemingly been unable to come to an agreement with Inter Milan.
Manchester United have signed three players this summer – Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic – but the Red Devils are thought to be on the lookout for another new recruit before the close of the transfer window at the end of the month.
Now, Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has confirmed that Manchester United are still being linked with a move to sign Perisic, but Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti is sure that he will stay.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter over the weekend: “Reports that Man United set to make another bid for Ivan Perisic but Inter manager Luciano Spalletti says Perisic is ‘determined to remain’.”
Manchester United fans will be hoping to see their team challenge for the Premier League title this season after the disappointment of their sixth-placed finish last term.
The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson retired back in 2013.
