The Serbia international was unveiled as a Manchester United player on Monday evening after months of speculation linking the defensive midfielder with the controversial switch.
Matic has previously worked with current Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho at Chelsea after the Portuguese coach brought the Serb back to Stamford Bridge in a £21m deal in 2014.
The 28-year-old was part of the Chelsea team that won the Premier League title and the EFL Cup under Mourinho in the 2014-15 season.
Manchester United have already signed Sweden defender Victor Lindelof and Everton striker Romelu Lukaku in deals worth in excess of £105m this summer.
Matic has experience of playing alongside the 23-year-old centre-half during his spell at Benfica, but the holding midfielder was never given the chance to play with Lukaku at Chelsea.
But the new Manchester United number 31 is excited to work with both Lindelof and Lukaku in the 2017-18 Premier League season.
“Yeah, I know them,” Matic told Manchester United’s website.
“With Victor, we have been together at Benfica, [in] Lisbon. Lukaku, I didn’t play with him because when I left Chelsea [the first time], he just signed there and I didn’t have an opportunity to train and to play with him. But I know him because we have played many times against each other.
“Both of them are great players and I think they are going to help Manchester to reach the targets.”
