Man United want to sign top 27-year-old from Premier League rivals – report
Manchester United are among the clubs keen on signing Danny Rose from Tottenham this summer, say reports
Manchester United are interested in signing Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Red Devils, along with Serie A side Inter Milan, are keen on trying to lure the England full-back to Old Trafford this summer.
The same report claims that Rose’s long-term knee injury had dented the chances of him leaving White Hart Lane in the summer transfer window.
However, the 27-year-old is now close to making his return to full training and both Manchester United and Inter Milan are poised to make moves to try and sign him.
The same article states that Tottenham are “braced” for bids from the Red Devils and the Italian side, with around three weeks to go in the current summer transfer window.
The story also says that Rose would be handed a significant pay-rise were he to quite Tottenham this summer, and that’s despite him having signed a new £70,000-a-week, five-year contract last summer.
Manchester United have brought in three players so far this summer, with Jose Mourinho’s men signing Victor Lindelof, Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku as the Portuguese coach prepares for his second season in charge at Old Trafford.
