Insider gives latest update on Man United’s bid to sign top 28-year-old
Manchester United's hopes of signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan are diminishing, say reports
Manchester United’s hopes of signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan are diminishing, according to Dharmesh Sheth.
The Sky Sports News reporter has delivered the latest update on the Red Devils’ link to the 28-year-old winger as Jose Mourinho looks to continue to strengthen his squad.
Manchester United completed their third signing of the summer on Monday when they secured a deal to land Nemanja Matic from Chelsea.
Matic followed Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford but the Red Devils continue to be linked with Perisic this summer.
However, reporter Sheth appears to have played down the chances of Perisic moving to Manchester United this summer.
Speaking on Sky Sports News on Tuesday evening, Sheth said: “To the latest at Manchester United now, and Ivan Perisic.
“It seems that their chances of signing the Inter Milan winger are reducing by the day.
“Reports in Italy claim that Perisic’s agent is in discussions about a new Inter contract. Luciano Spalletti recently said that the longer this goes on, the harder I will say no to a possible move.”
Manchester United are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after the Red Devils finished sixth in the Premier League last term but won the Europa League.
The Red Devils also won the EFL Cup in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge at the Premier League outfit.
