Man United want to sign top 28-year-old to add pace to squad – report
Jose Mourinho is still keen for Manchester United to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan this summer, say reports
Manchester United are still aiming to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to add more pace to his team, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is claiming that the Red Devils are aiming to bring the 28-year-old winger to Old Trafford after having been linked with a move to sign him all summer.
Manchester United’s failure to get a deal over the line for Perisic despite the speculation had prompted suggestions that they would struggle to land the Croatia international.
However, the report in the Daily Mail is now claiming that Mourinho is still keen to try and make Perisic Manchester United’s fourth summer signing.
The same story says Mourinho has identified Perisic as the ideal player to add some much-needed pace to the flanks of his Manchester United team this summer.
The Red Devils have already signed Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic so far this summer.
However, Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to sign another player before the close of the transfer window at the end of the month.
The Red Devils will take on Swansea City in their second Premier League game of the season on Saturday lunchtime.
