Manchester United are considering a bid to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Record is claiming that the Red Devils are pondering making a move to sign the France international, who has been heavily linked with Arsenal throughout the summer.
The same report says that Manchester United are considering a move for the 21-year-old attacker after failing in their attempts to secure the signings of either Gareth Bale or Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.
The story says that Lemar was added to Jose Mourinho’s list of summer transfer targets as Inter Milan continue to price the Red Devils out of a move to sign Ivan Perisic.
Mourinho has made no secret of his desire to add a fourth new player to his squad this summer after the Red Devils wrapped up the signings of Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic.
It remains to be seen whether Manchester United would be able to convince Monaco to part company with Lemar, as Arsenal have seemingly struggled to get a deal over the line for the attacker.
Manchester United take on Swansea City in their second Premier League game of the season on Saturday after their 4-0 thrashing of West Ham United last weekend.
