Man United want to make proven 27-year-old their fourth summer signing – report
Manchester United are interested in signing Danny Rose from Tottenham this summer, say reports
Manchester United are ready to turn their attentions towards trying to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that Rose is being considered as a possible solution in the Red Devils’ search for a new wide player this summer, after having so far failed in their pursuit of Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
Manchester United had been linked with both Perisic and Real Madrid star Gareth Bale this summer, but with deals for those two players unlikely, the Red Devils are now considering a move for Spurs star Rose, according to the report.
However, the same article says that Manchester United are likely to find it difficult to convince Tottenham to sell the 27-year-old England international, especially after the north London side let Kyle Walker leave for Manchester City earlier this summer.
Despite the links to Rose, the report makes it clear that the Spurs star would only be an option for Manchester United if the Red Devils fail to bring in a new winger this summer.
Manchester United have signed Victor Lindelof, Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic so far this summer as Jose Mourinho prepares for his second season in charge at the club.
The Red Devils kick off their season with a home clash against West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
