Man United, Chelsea keen on signing 27-year-old Premier League left-back – report
Both Manchester United and Chelsea remain keen on trying to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham, say reports
Both Manchester United and Chelsea remain interested in signing Danny Rose from Tottenham this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that Rose is set to hold “decisive” talks with Spurs this week about his future after his controversial newspaper interview earlier this month put his situation in doubt.
The same report says that both the Red Devils and the Blues are keen on trying to sign the left-back this summer, before the transfer window closes next Thursday.
However, despite Manchester United and Chelsea both being credited with an interest in Rose, the same report says that there have not yet been any official bids for the 27-year-old.
The same story says that should Tottenham decide to cash-in on Rose before the close of the transfer window, they would be likely to demand a fee of at least £50m.
Rose signed a new five-year contract with Spurs last September, meaning that he has another four seasons to go on his current deal, including this one.
Manchester United have signed three players so far this summer and Chelsea have brought in four new faces ahead of Antonio Conte’s second campaign in charge.
Rose is currently still working on getting back to full fitness after suffering a knee ligament injury back in January.
