Man United aren’t interested in proven 27-year-old defender, reveals insider
Sky Sports News reporter Kaveh Solhekol rules out Manchester United signing Danny Rose in the summer transfer window
Manchester United aren’t interested in signing Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose, according to Kaveh Solhekol.
The Red Devils were previously linked with a move to sign the England international earlier in the summer transfer window.
Jose Mourinho was critical of Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw during his first season in charge at Old Trafford.
The Manchester United boss appeared to question Shaw’s commitment, while the 21-year-old struggled with fitness problems.
Rose has established himself as England’s first-choice left-back under Gareth Southgate following an impressive spell at Tottenham.
The 27-year-old scored two goals and made three assists in 29 appearances in the Premier League before a season-ending injury.
Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol has ruled out Europa League winners Manchester United signing Rose in the summer transfer window.
“One other interesting line to bring you this morning, and we’re hearing from Manchester United that Danny Rose is not a player they’re looking at signing this summer,” Solhekol told Sky Sports News on Thursday morning.
Rose has been linked with a potential move to Chelsea or Manchester City in the summer transfer window so far.
Manchester United started their summer spending with the £30.7m addition of Victor Lindelof from Portuguese champions Benfica.
The Red Devils beat Chelsea to the £75m signing of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
The 20-time English champions have also signed Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic in a £40m deal last week.
