Man United’s bid to sign 28-year-old attacker frustrated by top club – report
Manchester United's attempts to sign Croatia winger Ivan Perisic has been frustrated by Inter Milan, according to reports
Manchester United are looking increasingly unlikely to sign Ivan Perisic as Inter Milan continue to be tough negotiators, according to reports in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Croatia international remains a target for the Red Devils despite Inter Milan’s reluctance to sell the Croatia international.
Perisic was thought to be closing in on a move to Manchester United earlier this summer but the Europa League winners couldn’t agree a fee with the Serie A club.
The same article states that Inter Milan are still holding out for a transfer fee in the region of £48m and the Italian club are hoping to tie Perisic down to a new contract.
Manchester United haven’t been able to get a deal over the line for a wide player in the summer transfer window as Mourinho looks to improve a key position in his Red Devils team.
Perisic scored 11 goals and eight assists in 36 appearances in Serie A last season to establish himself as one of the Italian top-flight’s most-exciting players.
Manchester United started their summer spending with the £30.7m addition of Sweden centre-half Victor Lindelof from Portuguese champions Benfica.
The Red Devils have also snapped up Everton striker Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic.
