Manchester United are still chasing Ivan Perisic to complete Jose Mourinho’s “ideal structure” ahead of the new season, according to reports in England.

The Independent is reporting that the Red Devils are hoping to sign the Croatia international to sign another important part of the Manchester United puzzle.

According to the same story, Manchester United have been left frustrated in their pursuit of the winger as Inter Milan hold out for a £48m transfer fee.

The same article reveals that sources close to the Independent are confident Manchester United will eventually sign the Croatia forward.

Manchester United started their summer spending spree with the £30.7m deal to recruit Sweden international Victor Lindelof from Portuguese champions Benfica.

The Red Devils beat Premier League champions Chelsea to the £75m signing of Belgium international Romelu Lukaku from Everton last month.

The 20-time English champions recruited Serbia international Nemanja Matic in a £40m switch from Chelsea earlier this week.

Mourinho led Manchester United to a sixth-place finish in the Premier League table last season.

However, the Portuguese coach also won the EFL Cup and the Europa League in his first campaign in charge at Old Trafford.
