Man United open talks to sign proven striker for next season – report
Manchester United are interested in signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic for another season, according to reports
Manchester United have opened talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic about the possibility of signing the striker to a new contract, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the 35-year-old could yet sign a new deal with Manchester United despite currently being without a club after his contract expired at the end of last season.
Ibrahimovic has been undergoing his rehabilitation at Manchester United’s Carrington training complex as he looks to regain his fitness after undergoing knee ligament surgery at the start of the summer.
However, it appears that Manchester United are still interested in securing the services of the Swedish striker for another season.
The same story says that AC Milan and some MLS teams have expressed interest in signing Ibrahimovic this summer but it would seem that Manchester United are also keen on landing the forward.
Ibrahimovic was a big hit at Manchester United last season in his first campaign in the Premier League, as he scored 17 goals in the English top flight.
Manchester United are currently preparing to kick off their new Premier League season with a home clash against West Ham United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils ended up in sixth place in the top-flight table last season.
