Journalist claims Chelsea trying to make 26-year-old their next signing
Kavel Solhekol says Chelsea are still trying to push through a deal to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer
Chelsea are still trying to push through a deal to sign Alex Sandro from Juventus this summer, according to journalist Kaveh Solhekol.
The Sky Sports News reporter has taken to Twitter to reveal that the west London side are still actively pursuing a deal to bring the Brazilian full-back to Stamford Bridge this summer.
The Blues have been strongly linked with a move to sign Sandro, 26, this summer but the west London side have not yet been able to officially strike a deal with Juventus for the transfer.
Now, Solhekol has claimed that the Blues are still on the hunt for the signature of the defender, even though Juventus are trying to tie him down to a new contract.
Solhekol wrote on Twitter: “Chelsea trying to convince Juventus to sell left back Alex Sandro. Juve already lost Bonucci and Alves this summer. Offering Sandro new deal.”
Chelsea have been one of the busier clubs in the summer transfer window so far, having tied up deals for four new players.
The Blues have brought in Willy Caballero, Antonio Rudiger, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Alvaro Morata so far this summer as Antonio Conte prepares for his second season in charge.
However, the west London side continue to be linked with a host of other players as the Blues prepare for a return to the Champions League next season.
