Santi Cazorla has taken to social media to reveal that he is “one step closer” to making a return to action for Arsenal.

The Spanish playmaker has been out of action since last October after he underwent surgery to correct an achilles problem.

However, the midfielder was forced to go under the knife countless more times as he struggled to overcome the injury.

Arsenal fans will be hoping to see the midfielder back in action in the coming months and Cazorla has used his personal Instagram account to reveal that he is closing on a return to action for the Gunners.

Cazorla posted the video above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “One step more, one step closer! #Lookingforwardtoseeyouall!”

The midfielder will be hoping to return to action as soon as possible for Arsenal and help them challenge for the Premier League title this season.

The north London side ended up in a disappointing fifth place in the Premier League table last term as they missed out on Champions League qualification.

However, the Gunners did end last season on a high when they beat Chelsea in the FA Cup final to win the trophy for the third time in four years.
