Michael Owen is tipping Manchester United to secure back-to-back Premier League wins at Swansea City on Saturday.

The Red Devils produced arguably the best performance of the opening Premier League weekend following a 4-0 victory over West Ham United.

Summer signing Romelu Lukaku scored either side of half-time at Old Trafford before late goals from Anthony Martial and Paul Pogba.

Manchester United are sitting at the top of the Premier League table after outscoring their rivals Manchester City and Huddersfield Town.

The Red Devils have the chance to further cement their position at the top of the table at Liberty Stadium on Saturday lunchtime.

Former Manchester United striker Owen is confident that Jose Mourinho’s side will beat Swansea to further underline their title credentials.

“I was impressed with United against West Ham on Sunday but they need to back it up against a Swansea side who didn’t have a shot on target at St Mary’s on Matchday One, and may have been a shade fortunate to come away with a point,” Owen told BetVictor.

“The Swans have never kept a clean sheet in their 12 previous Premier League games against the Red Devils and Jose Mourinho’s side were irresistible at times against the Hammers at Old Trafford.

“Swansea will take heart from the fact that they have lost just once in their last eight Premier League games at the Liberty Stadium, but I was not surprised to see BetVictor trim United from 7/2 to 11/4 for the title in the aftermath of the opening weekend of the campaign.”

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season but won the EFL Cup and the Europa League to end the season on a positive note.

The Red Devils signed Swedish defender Victor Lindelof from Portuguese champions Benfica back in June.

Mourinho was reunited with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku after the Belgian opted to move to Manchester United ahead of Chelsea.

The 20-time English champions have also signed Nemanja Matic in a £40m deal from the defending champions.
